It is the last few months of 1862, Union forces of over 120,000 under the command of General Burnside are on the move to the city of Fredericksburg, Virginia on the Rappahannock River. Back in Washington, President Lincoln and his wife have accepted an invitation to dine with some close friends in their beautiful hillside home. Tonight will be more eventful than expected for the President and his wife, however, hoping to enjoy a quiet evening of conversation and fine food, only to be interrupted by news from the War Department.
On February 17, 2018, at 6:00 pm, you have the opportunity to step back in time at the Historic Baldwin-Reynolds House and dine with John and Marion King, who portray President and Mary Todd Lincoln. The evening event will be filled with Civil War history from period dressed staff, Union troops, and maybe even a few Generals, all members of the 150th PA Vol Inf. Reg. reenactment group (Bucktails). Please join us for an evening of conversation, fine dining, and amazing history!
